Curriculum Overview

Methodical study of Image Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine in preparation for becoming a qualified healer, nutritionist, physical therapist and instructor. Four year students will also be expected to reach a level of relative fluency in Russian, English and Chinese. In addition students will be instructed in developing the capacity for further research work.

During the training, students will have the opportunity to obtain advice from experienced teachers and will be given a choice for deeper follow-up study. In addition to lectures, students will also have time for self-study and practice.

Students will receive a Diploma in Image Medicine upon satisfactory completion of the four year course.

Teaching Methods

Teachers at Kundawell Institute use an innovative method of knowledge transmission. The principles of this teaching style are simple and effective. Instructors elucidate the fundamental aspects of each subject area to form the foundation of our curriculum. From this foundation, students are encouraged to form their own understanding and unique healing approach to be used in future clinical practice. It is akin to the process of placing a microchip into a computer; with the information stored on this microchip, students will be able to go on to perform advanced processes of deduction, to enlarge their knowledge base and ability.

Educational materials are small in quantity, but highly informative and effective when paired with practices of self-development.

Language of Instruction

All courses at Kundawell are taught in one of three languages: Russian, Chinese or English. During the process of acquiring knowledge on relevant subjects, students will also become familiar with the language and culture of China, with the final goal of the program being the mastery of professional knowledge, language and culture.

Language Courses

Learning a foreign language is a long and complex undertaking. In order to shorten this process, improve learning efficiency and language ability, and maintain peaked interest in the learning process, all subjects at Kundawell are thoroughly integrated in order to maximize efficacy. We at Kundawell believe that language is crucial for developing communication and mutual understanding. Therefore, all students are required to study foreign language for four years and are expected to achieve a working mastery of general language skills as well as specialized professional vocabulary.

Learning Process

Development and application of specialized knowledge is not an easy process. Many institutions of higher learning simply provide students with information that is forgotten immediately following examinations. True learning demands students not only remember given information, but internalize it through experience and practical application. Actively using the knowledge taught in the classroom provides students with the opportunity to enter a deeper level of comprehension while enjoying themselves in the process. The process of knowledge transmission utilized at Kundawell is based on the mechanisms of human memory and the human mind. Various subject areas are scheduled so as to provide interdisciplinary reinforcement and grow more complex with each year. In courses such as Image Medicine, Anatomy, Physiology, Zhong Yuan Qigong practice, and Traditional Chinese Medicine, instructors will elucidate fundamental principles through constant repetition, adding deeper levels of understanding as students progress.

Computers and Internet Technology

In order to enhance the learning process it is necessary that prospective Kundawell students possess basic knowledge of computers and internet research skills.
Kundawell Institute offers students free use of its computers and unrestricted wireless internet access. Teachers will also use computer technology as a tool for knowledge transmission.

Faculty

In addition to its own team of qualified professors and instructors, Kundawel is host to internationally-recognized specialists as guest lecturers at the institute.
Teaching assistants will help to resolve difficulties encountered by students in the course of study and research in order to help ensure a productive and positive outcome.

Enrollment Fees

6000 Euros/Academic Year.
(Includes 3 meals per day, transportation, Visa fees, and medical insurance. Accommodation and living expenses are not included in this price.)

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available to students with strong academic transcripts or to practitioners with extensive experience who can not independently finance their course of study.
Additional financial assistance is available in the form of a work study for a limited number of students.

Admission Requirements

High school graduates under the age of 35 with a strong interest in qigong, healing through Image Medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, and general wellness.

Job Opportunities

There are numerous opportunities for employment in Kundawell Institute locations throughout the world, in various training centers, medical and recreational facilities such as wellness clubs, hospitals, and private clinics. Many Kundawell graduates also go on to open their own private medical treatment centers.
